3rd Temple = End of Judaism

This prediction seems pretty obvious but I still want to go on record.

I think the construction of the 3rd temple will be the end of Judaism.

I want to caveat this by saying this is only true if they maintain the sacrificial system.

The key reason is simple: meat is cheap and bloody.

Here's what I think will happen:

1. There will be a surge of followers/converts in the beginning.
2. The practice will feel shallow, disgusting, and primitive - we don't know how to kill anymore.
3. The animal rights activists will lead massive protests, aligning Judaism with repressive and barbaric cultures, increasing pressure not just on animal sacrifices but internal issues as well. Full PR war.
4. Attempts will be made to make the practice more palatable - virtual sacrifices, community representatives, modernized interpretations.
5. Many will leave the faith, or cling to a more liberal interpretation, and seek spiritual frameworks that focus on internal practices.

Fundamentally, the temple's physical manifestation will force believers to confront practices they've only engaged with theoretically. Modern Judaism has evolved toward internal spiritual practices, similar to Buddhism and Christianity, but the forced return to an external, physical worship through sacrifice will be felt as a spiritual regression.

Because the law of Moses cannot be changed, unless the temple is destroyed, the sacrificial system will be maintained. Thus the end of Judaism.
